Ivy Tech provides technical training for trades including HVAC, Building Construction, Electricians, Machinists, Mechanics, and Industrial Maintenance.

We were founded in 1963 as Indiana Vocational Technical College. Back then, we focused primarily on technical and vocational education—but in the more than 50 years since, we’ve gone through enormous changes. Today, we’re Indiana’s only full-fledged community college, offering more than 150 programs and 100 transfer programs. Including:

We offer hands-on experience with advanced technologies and training facilities, plus the convenience of more than 1,000 online classes, and the attention that comes with a small average class size of 22.
We have more than 40 locations, and teach classes in more than 75 communities. We have grown to become the largest public postsecondary institution in Indiana—and the largest singly-accredited statewide community college system in the entire country.
We are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
