OCVTS  provides a comprehensive overview of the many career and academic programs offered by the Ocean County Vocational Technical School.

The school is committed to our mission of preparing students for today’s demanding high-tech job market. Many of our programs offer opportunities for our students to earn college credits through articulation agreements with area colleges to provide a seamless transition for students who choose to further their education.

In our ongoing efforts to keep pace with the technological advances and job-related skills, OCVTS has made great strides this year in developing and launching programs that will keep our district on the forefront of career training. Our ongoing partnerships with business and industry leaders provide valuable insight into trends and the skill-sets essential to developing career-ready curriculum. We plan and develop workshops and lab areas equipped with technology to not only teach current business practices but also prepare our students to meet the demands of the future.

Each of our centers offers a learning environment that provides for the development of knowledge, skills, and practical values. Our experienced and caring staff is ready to assist you, by providing complete information and guidance as you consider your life’s work. The Job Placement Services Department has partnered with hundreds of businesses and is committed to matching OCVTS students with career opportunities with the greatest potential. Our Financial Aid Officer provides guidance for graduating students interested in furthering their education.

These programs offer high school graduates several flexible options for career advancement, certification or a new career direction. Accelerated programs and scheduling options provide adult students with economical alternatives to college and a shorter route to full-time employment. Students may qualify for Financial Aid, Veterans Education Benefits or Unemployment Re-Training Benefits. Job Placement Assistance is also available. A placement test is required for all applicants.
